
I’ll be using the word neurodiversity a lot, so it’ll help if you know what I mean by it.
It’s the idea that brain function and ability exists on a continuum.
That the idea of “normal” is a fiction that misinforms much of how we create our social systems and attitudes about each other.
That what it means to be human has as many variations are there are people.
Society can benefit from learning to understand and include people with neuro-differences instead of stigmatizing and segregating them.
It’s a lens of equality, respect, dignity and opportunity.
It’s a vision for a world I hope to help create.
