Don’t be the parent you wished you’d had

There’s no end to the number of people who want to give you advice on parenting. Unfortunately, there’s more poor advice in the world than helpful.

Just this morning I spoke with a mother who quoted a sign she saw in a therapists’s office, “Be the parent you wish you’d had.”

That phrase became the source of a deeper conversation about what it means to be a parent. I shared a more powerful approach to parenting with her that I’ll share with you now. Enjoy 🙂
